The speed increaser of the wind turbine is installed at a high place, and maintenance is very difficult, so the life and reliability of the speed increaser bearing are very high. In recent years, wind turbines have become larger and larger. In order to reduce the load on the tower, attempts have been made to reduce the size and weight of the generator nacelle. Therefore, the demand for small and high-load bearing bearings has further increased.

The high load capacity cylindrical roller bearing developed to meet this demand uses a rolling element spacer instead of a cage, so it does not damage the rotation performance while increasing the load capacity, and the rated life is more than 1.5 times that of the original product.

The structure and characteristics of high load capacity cylindrical roller bearings:

The new product is designed with a spacer made of resin material between the rollers, which can prevent the rollers from contacting each other. Moreover, on the spacers that are separated from each other, since the tension that accompanies the clutching and dispersing of the rollers does not work, the thickness can be reduced, and the size and number of the rollers can be increased.

Through the performance comparison between the new product and the original product, the high load capacity cylindrical roller bearing of the new product has the following advantages:

1. Long life

The size and number of rollers are optimized to increase the load capacity. The rated life of the bearing is more than 1.5 times the rated life of the caged bearing with the original size unchanged.

2. High speed

To prevent contact between the rollers in a full complement roller bearing, it is best to optimize the shape and guiding method of the spacer ring to achieve the same allowable rotation speed and scratch resistance as the bearing with a cage.

3. Operation

Even if the inner ring is removed without causing the rollers to fall off, the inner ring and outer ring components can be installed separately, making it easier to install on the machine.
